Funny News: Crave deals next-gen poker game
March 11, 2006: Crave deals next-gen poker gameWorld Championship Poker goes "All In" with Xbox 360, PS2, and PSP versions; new title features mixed games, 18 types of poker.
One of the keys to poker is being able to get a read on your opponent. By carefully studying visual cues made by rival gamblers, pros can get a bead on their opposition's hands, making that decision to call or fold much easier. Soon, gamers may be able to look into the dilating pupils of some next-generation digital-card players to decide whether it's worth risking some fake money.
Crave Entertainment is dealing its World Championship Poker series a third hand. The publisher has announced that World Championship Poker: Featuring Howard Lederer "All In" is currently being developed for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable but has not yet revealed a release date.
All In will feature 18 different types of Poker, including Omaha, Texas Hold 'Em, and Five Card Stud. The game's single-player campaign mode now features series tournaments, mixed games (multiple variations of poker in one sitting), and ...

Review: Doom Xbox live Arcade FunnyGames, October 1, 2006In a bit of a shocking announcement, Microsoft announced just this week that Doom would be hitting Xbox Live Arcade, well, instantly. In the same way that Steve Jobs announces a new iPod and they're in stores right away, Doom was ready and waiting for folks to download it on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The classic PC game is the first FPS to hit Live Marketplace, and it's definitely one of the more polished titles on the service, offering up all the old school gory gameplay you remember, along with some nifty new extras...

Doom allows for people to hop on Live and play online co-op (through all the single-player levels) or deathmatch (through all the classic DM maps). ...While most fighters are primarily multiplayer centric, Tekken Dark Resurrection for the PSP offers up a healthy single player game component that should keep you playing when there are no friends online to be found. Story mode remains, as you're able to play as every character in a series of nine Tekken battles to learn everyone's backstory. Even cooler, each of these ends with a high quality FMV to close out the game story. Some of these are pretty standard, cool poses, lots of explosions and so forth. The best, though are the ones that don't take themselves too seriously. Seeing Panda in this game as the leader of a multinational corporation getting proposed to by Kuma the bear may be worth the price of admission on its own...
