December 20, 2006: Fun Home Poker Game Rules - GutsI played a lot of poker in high school. That was back in the mid-1970s. Poker for high school students wasn't like it is today. There was no Internet, no televised poker tournaments, and surely no legal poker rooms in New York where I grew up. For high school kids especially, poker was strictly an underground game illegal, forbidden, and compelling. For us it was like smoking cigarettes or drinking beer or smoking pot or getting laid. You wanted to do it because it was forbidden. And it was fun.
A favorite variety of the game back then was guts. We generally played it in the senior room of the high school a private room set aside only for seniors where we got away with playing poker because faculty didn't enter (unless they smelled cigarettes or pot). Small fortunes changed hands over this game. And we were all on very short bankrolls.

Dead Rising Review FunnyGames, August 14, 2006We finally got one. Finally. Yes, there is now a zombie video game in the stores that lives up to the classic zombie horror flicks. The developers at Capcom insist via a disclaimer on the front of Dead Rising's box that no, legendary horror filmmaker George A. Romero was not a part of this project, nor does this title have anything official to do with his seminal zombie movie Dawn of the Dead. Why even bother? Well, there are some very conspicuous similarities here: zombies in a mall, people getting eaten, that sort of thing. But if this game needs a disclaimer, then don't World of Warcraft developers Blizzard Entertainment need one disclaiming any perceived similarity to J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings? Or what about the hundreds of books, shows, movies, and games that borrow from popular culture? ...

...The game was originally scheduled to be released during the 2006 holiday season, but it officially backed into 2007 at X06. Its predecessor, 2005's Forza Motorsport for the original Xbox, was also a victim of backpedaling release dates, finally making it off the lot six months after its initial launch date.
In addition, speed racers know not only when they will be driving but also what they will be driving. The Forza team unveiled the final list of 300-plus cars featured in the game, considerably more than the 230-car roster of the original Forza. The list is likely to grow, as downloadable content is expected through Xbox Live Marketplace and the Forza Online Auction House...
