July 8, 2006: Titan Quest - Atlas shrugged reviewNothing sucks the air out of a brilliant game like its inevitable clone backdraft, and nowhere is that more evident than in the case of Blizzard’s Diablo. Nox, Restricted Area and Sacred pleasantly plagiarized in the past, while more recent games like Dungeon Siege and even the Champions of Norrath series gussy it up enough to almost feel like new experiences. Regardless of their success, though, they’ve all borne the weight of their demonic ancestor upon narrow shoulders.
And now, the techie torch has been passed to THQ and Iron Lore, who have dubbed it Titan Quest. While this latest mob farmfest heralds seamless multiplayer, interesting character-class blending and a world editor of epic proportions, its gameplay falls short of hitting the addictive hack-and-loot formula of its impressive forbear...

The Club Game Review FunnyGames, February 29, 2008Bizarre Creations' The Club is a bewildering beast of a video game. The core gameplay conceit of tightly focused speed and combo runs through a mixture of gun-toting enemy-filled maps works extremely well in practice. Problem is, nearly everything surrounding what works is astoundingly unimpressive, from the "set up and discard" approach to an otherwise compelling backstory to the game's criminally tacked-on multiplayer. The Club certainly isn't a total waste, but the underlying quality of the gameplay makes the pain of its lesser bits and pieces feel all the more acute...
...If you're a fan of arcade games and constantly reaching for higher and higher point totals, don't worry about The Club's lesser elements. The core gameplay is tremendously entertaining, a great thing when you consider that repeat playthroughs are a must if the highest point barriers are to be broken. The multiplayer may be a bust and the story non-existent, but The Club is a worthwhile purchase for those seeking a challenging solo experience and/or a moderately-paced party game...

Two months after the game's release a playable demo for Stubbs the Zombie is finally available, allowing you to try out the tongue-in-cheek third-person horror action game by Wideload Games. This demo contains one level situated in the appurtenant works of a dam.
