Resident Evil 4 was a spectacular game when it first came out, with amazing graphics for its mother system, the Nintendo Gamecube, contextually sensitive buttons and controls, and interactive cutscenes involving awesome knife fights, portentous plot points, and main-man Leon doing body shots off of hookers in Mexican hell-holes. Or at least, he's that consistently amazing...

...The game feels different in a lot of subtle little ways. For one thing, zombies' heads seem to pop more frequently. At first, I thought this was just a random adjustment, but it occurred to me that it was heavily related to the control scheme. The new pointer makes it impressively easy to catch zombie after zombie in the face with your crummy little pistol from quite a distance...

Word is: "This demo contains the complete Seriousopolis Uptown level from the game, which can be played solo, or over LAN or online by up to four people. It also contains all the weapons from the game (although you may have to cheat to see all of them), one of the game's vehicles and a nice variety of the insane enemies that Sam is well known for."

... Apart from the single-player, we did get a glimpse of what to expect for the multiplayer. Unlike CoD2, which was pretty straightforward FPS fare, CoD3 features a much more robust multiplayer component. One of the biggest differences is the addition of vehicles, from jeeps and buggies to tanks and APCs. While the game focuses mostly on street-to-street battles, you can also expect to see a few maps that are much more open, allowing you to go head to head with other vehicles. Of course, there are also infantry-only maps, for all you nostalgists out there.
