Sega rolled out a Wii version of Super Monkey Ball recently, and we had a chance to check out all of the monkey madness using the system's motion-sensing remote and nunchaku. There's not much that looks different in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, but its feel adds a new layer of fun when controlling AiAi and friends.
In the single-player puzzle demo, tilting the remote sent AiAi rolling in the corresponding direction. Slightly pointing the remote down rolled him forward, leaning it to the right or left initiated a turn, and adjusting it to the ceiling slowed him down and eventually sent him backwards. Review: Star Fox Command FunnyGames, September 5, 2006As one of Nintendo's long-running franchises, Star Fox has quite a strong following behind it. Unfortunately, recent Star Fox games have been a little hit or miss. Star Fox Assault, for example, was probably the lowest point for the series, offering up generic, and often boring, gameplay. Now it's up to this new entry for the DS to bring the Great Fox out of the ashes. Star Fox Command is the first handheld title for the franchise, and while it offers up unique gameplay and interesting new concepts, it fails to achieve the brilliance that we saw on the Super Nintendo and N64.
...If you're looking for a tactical strategy game with action elements, Star Fox Command is pretty much the only game in town on the DS. While it doesn't return the franchise to former glories, it's definitely a step in the right direction, offering up a new style of play that utilizes the system well.

...Mario Party 8, despite being on the Wii, is almost identical in terms of presentation and scope of the previous installments. It's still a hyper cute, turn-based board game where Mario characters attempt to collect stars, beating out other denizens of the mushroom kingdom. The highlight of these matches comes from the minigames, which have always been the main draw of the Mario Party series. And they're back in full force, with tons of varieties, ranging from 1-on-3, 2-on-2 or free for all battles...
...In the end, Mario Party 8 is a fine choice if you loved the first 7 entries and are dying for more. If you're looking for a change, though, 8 barely offers it in the form of basic motion controls. Other than that, this is kiddie fodder, through and through.
