October 29, 2007: Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass ReviewThe game's namesake - the Phantom Hourglass - comes into play in the temple you have to explore to move forward in the game. The sand in the hourglass represents your life - life that gets slowly drained away bit by bit whenever you aren't standing in one of the temple's 'Safe Zones'. Basically, this means that each temple works like a timed puzzle as your life force slowly slides away, but with the added bonus of being able to stop, catch your breath, and strategize your next move without having to worry about the clock all the time.
The temples are also the locations of the game's battle minigame, which can be played against the computer or with a friend. In this game, you take turns playing either Link or the temple guards. Link's goal is to pick up triforce pieces from around the map and bring them back to his base. The goal of the guards, of course, is to smash Link...

Transformers: The Game Reviewed FunnyGames, July 24, 2007...The game does follow the movie's plot loosely, but you'll find that the missions you need to do are generally less exciting than in the movie due to the rather dull action sequences. From playing as the Autobot Bumblebee whose mission is to protect Mikaela and Sam (and his great-grandfather's glasses that have the encoded location of the "Allspark" on them) to just plain destroying half of a city as a Decepticon, the events in the game do follow the movie but are decidedly more disjointed and often have you doing things repeatedly just so that the overall length of the game is increased...
...Transformers does have a few redeeming moments, like when you get to play as Scorponok, but there are just way too many long stretches of mediocrity for me to be able to recommend this one. The PS3 version looks great in screenshots, but it plays like a budget game and yet still sports the full $59.99 price tag....

Review Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories FunnyGames, November 13, 2006
Out of all the Grand Theft Auto racing games released so far, I've found that many people enjoyed Vice City the most. Maybe it's the music, maybe it's the characters, maybe it's that hilarious 80s atmosphere but for whatever reason the middle racing game in the "GTA3 trilogy" seems to be the favorite. After the sort of disappointing GTA: Liberty City Stories on PSP (which took the original city from GTA3 racing game and basically created a new story with both new and familiar characters at once), Rockstar Games is back on Sony's portable system with Vice City Stories. But is the return to Vice City racing game, which is clearly modeled after Miami, actually worth it?
